£17.5m funding for businesses through the Leeds LEP Skills Service
*Please note this round of funding closes end of March 2017. However you may be eligible for this new digital growth funding from Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership.**
Are you looking to grow your business and invest in training for you or your staff? If you operate in the Leeds City Region area, you may be entitled to funding that can support skills development to help your business grow.
The Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has secured devolved funding through the government’s Employer Ownership Pilot to create a £17.5 million skills service for local businesses.
The aim of the funding is to put money in the hands of small and medium sized businesses in the LEP’s key sectors, enabling them to source the skills solutions they require to develop and grow. This announcement follows the recent allocation of an additional £54.6 million for the Leeds City Region from the government’s Local Growth Deals to invest in skills, business support, innovation and housing and skills.
The funding supports small and medium-sized businesses in the Leeds City Region by identifying their skills requirements, based on growth objectives, and then providing the right training and funding solutions to help achieve them.
The LEP expert skills advisors will support you by:
- offering a comprehensive skills assessment
- sourcing the most appropriate training
- providing funds to eligible businesses
- guiding you through the process.
If you have a budget to put towards training, you could also be eligible for funding of between £500 and £50,000 to cover up to 50% of the cost.
jrc.agency is a registered supplier for the scheme, and can help you with marketing, sales or business development planning, strategy, advice and skills training. As an example of the kind of support we can offer, here is some feedback from a previous client:
Emma Cartmell, Managing Director at CHS Group
“Helen Robinson and Jonny Ross ran a social media workshop for us last year in order to develop a company marketing strategy and event marketing plan. [They] understood our market completely and were able to ask some fantastic questions that resulted in them coming up with some great ideas for us. The plan that they subsequently wrote was easy to follow and implement and a resulted in a 20% increase in visitor pre-registrations for one of our events. I would recommend Helen and Jonny for similar projects.”
Current funding through LEP Skills Service is available until Spring 2017.
