B2B cold email campaigns for UK businesses, with every email read and approved by a person
Fleek Marketing, a digital marketing agency in Leeds, plans and runs B2B cold email campaigns for UK businesses. We build the list, write the sequences, send from a separate domain so your main one is kept out of it, and pass interested replies straight to you. AI helps with research, and a person approves every email before it is sent.
Cold email that sits alongside SEO, LinkedIn and referral
Referral, your website and LinkedIn bring in good work, but they all wait for the right buyer to find you. Cold email starts the conversation with the businesses you most want, adding to that mix, not replacing it.
We send small, targeted volumes to people with a reason to hear from you. The work covers:
- Ideal customer and target list: the sectors, company sizes and roles worth contacting, agreed with you first
- Data sourcing and verification: contacts sourced against that profile, every address checked, and sole traders, other partnerships and anyone we cannot classify removed
- Sequences: a short series of emails and follow-ups in your voice, about a problem the reader recognises
- A separate sending domain: authenticated and warmed up before any campaign goes out
- Research and personalisation: AI-assisted research on each company, turned into a relevant opening line
- Reply handling: opt-outs removed and interested replies passed straight to you
- Reporting: replies and interested replies, not opens
Protecting your main domain
Your main domain carries everyday email to clients and suppliers, so we never send cold email from it. Campaigns go from a separate domain close to your brand name, and every email names your business in full, so it is always clear who is writing. We set up its SPF, DKIM and DMARC records with you or your IT provider, warm its mailboxes up gradually and keep daily volumes low, so your main domain’s reputation stays apart from the campaign.
How we use AI in cold email
AI does the slow research, reading a prospect’s website and suggesting a relevant reason to get in touch. A person reads every email, edits anything generic or wrong, and approves it before it is sent.
Interested buyers may look you up in Google or ask ChatGPT before replying, so weak SEO and AI visibility can stall a good email. We look at both together.
Cold email and UK law
Under PECR, the consent rule for marketing emails does not apply to corporate subscribers, which include limited companies, limited liability partnerships, Scottish partnerships and some government bodies. Every email must still identify the sender and give a valid address to opt out. Sole traders and other partnerships count as individual subscribers and need consent or the soft opt-in, so we leave them off cold lists, along with any contact we cannot classify.
A named work email address is still personal data, so UK GDPR applies as well. Legitimate interests is often the right lawful basis, but only if it passes the ICO’s three-part test, so we help you carry out and record that assessment, include privacy information in the first email, and stop at once when anyone objects. Opt-outs go on a do-not-email list that every new list is screened against.
The Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 raised the maximum fine under PECR to £17.5 million or 4% of global turnover, and the ICO says its business-to-business guidance is under review because of the Act. We work within these rules, but we are not lawyers, and this is general information rather than legal advice.
What cold email costs
Campaigns start from £2,000 plus VAT a month, with a one-off setup from £2,000 plus VAT and a three-month minimum, because the first campaign is a test. The setup covers your ideal customer profile, the sending domain and warm-up, the first list and the first sequences. Sending domains, mailboxes, the sending platform and contact data are billed at cost on top of our fee, in your name where possible, so you keep them if you stop.
What to expect, and how we measure it
The first campaign is a test. One sequence goes to one well-defined segment, and we read the replies as well as counting them, then adjust and test again.
We report replies, interested replies and opt-outs, not opens, which privacy features in Apple Mail and other inboxes make unreliable. We cannot promise reply rates or meetings, and if the tests suggest cold email is the wrong channel for you, we will say so. Our case studies show results from our search and website work.
Why Fleek
Every campaign is run under Jonny Ross, who founded Fleek and brings 27 years in search and visibility. Fleek looks after more than 100 client websites and holds a 4.9 out of 5 Google rating from 113 reviews. Cold email sits in one plan with our email marketing, LinkedIn Ads and Meta Ads, and the website prospects land on.
Questions about B2B cold email
Is cold email legal in the UK?
Emailing staff at limited companies and LLPs does not need prior consent under PECR, but every email must name the sender and offer a valid opt-out, and UK GDPR applies to named contacts. Sole traders and other partnerships need consent or the soft opt-in, so we leave them out. The ICO’s B2B guidance is under review after the Data (Use and Access) Act, so treat this as general information, not legal advice.
Will cold email damage my domain?
It should not touch it. We send from a separate, authenticated and warmed-up domain, never your main one, and keep volumes low.
How many emails do you send?
We send small daily batches to a list built around your ideal customer, never thousands at once. The right number depends on how many good-fit businesses your market holds.
Do you use AI to write them?
AI helps research each company and draft a personalised opening. A person reads, edits and approves every email before it is sent, and you sign off the sequences before a campaign starts.
What results should I expect?
We cannot promise a reply rate or a number of meetings. We report what each test showed and what we would change next.
Do you only work with Leeds businesses?
No. We are based in Leeds and run campaigns for businesses across Yorkshire and the rest of the UK.
