Admissions, Marketing & Development in Indepednent Schools (AMDIS) annual conference – Social Media – Online Vs Offline

AMDIS has been serving the marketing, admissions and development personnel within the independent schools sector for over two decades. They offer a variety of events, services, communications and training programs, as well as opportunities for networking.

• On May 14th 2012 Jonny was invited to lead a seminar a conference organised by AMDIS named ‘Squaring up to the Economic Climate – Facts, Figures, Foresight and Valuable Ideas and Initiatives’. Jonny’s seminar and talk was titled ‘Social Media: Opportunities and Rules of Engagement. Although it became apparent that schools are using social media increasingly, there is still some uncertainty from some schools in utilizing social media platforms to raise their profile. Jonny was able to share his insight into digital marketing and how schools can benefit from social media, for example ways to help with search Engine Optimisation (SEO) strategy and using blogs in an innovative way to share success stories.
